IRISH GAMBLE - 381 West First Street - This oceanfront house features six bedrooms and six bathrooms on two levels. Both levels have the same layout: one king and one queen bed in one room, and two bedrooms with two queens in each. All bedrooms have a TV and a private bath. There's an additional living room upstairs with a 55" Plasma TV, a game table, and two futons for your "drop by" company. The dining room table seats twelve comfortably, and there are seven stools at the kitchen bar for additional seating.

Amenities include private pool, enclosed outside shower, central heat and air, washer and dryer, two dishwashers, five burner gas stove and new convection oven, microwave oven, DVD player, blu-ray, blender, ice maker, iron/ironing board, Keurig coffee maker and regular coffee maker, ceiling fans and secured Wi-Fi. With the large deck, the extended living area to the outdoors, the great tiki bar by the pool, and the gorgeous ocean view, you might not ever want to go back inside. A putting green is available - fun for the entire family.

The golf cart outlet is under the house. All our properties have pillows and bedspreads. Sheets, towels, paper and soap products are not provided.
ALL RENTALS ARE NON-SMOKING AND NO PETS ARE ALLOWED.

9/22 – 9/25 

Our 15th year coming to OIB. Our 12th year staying at the Irish Gamble. 14 women + beautiful house + beautiful beach = many beautiful memories. Oh! If the walls could talk it would be a block-buster movie. Lots of memories, laughter and friendships formed that are unbreakable. We are so blessed you allowed us to share your house with us. We really enjoyed all the upgrades, the comfortable living areas, bedrooms, porches especially the fabulous kitchen and table that sit all 14 of us to eat, talk, share memories. Thank you so much!

June 16-23 

The weather was perfect! Some wonderful things we did: built a wonderous sand castle, fished, played, putt-putt, walked and hunted shells, played charades, ate well! What we saw and discovered: Caught 4 baby sharks,  found sand dollars, enjoyed beautiful mornings and evenings. Moments & glimpses & little details that mattered: Had wonderful family time each day and night, took some great pictures. Some other thoughts: This house was the best ever! So much room and so well equiped in every way.

I just wanted to drop you a note today, oh how much we enjoyed your house this weekend. Our son got married this weekend & we had the rehersal at the house and it was perfect. He is a navy seal and he had several seals here and it was a really special time. Your home is just beautiful and I know you must love coming to stay. I never got to sign your guest book but I wanted you to know how much we enjoyed being there.

The weather was: Wonderful, sunny and cloudy days. Some wonderful things we did: Surf, walking, shopping, reading, eating. What we saw and discovered: Some tv – football, basketball, dancing with the stars, the stock market documentary. Moments & glimpses & little details that mattered: Found a baby sand dollar and starfish. Some other thoughts: Again,  we love this house more with each year. Thank you for a space to enjoy fellowship, meditation, laughter, and family life is good, no matter the weather, when you’re with those you love, the beach make sit better.

Another beautiful vacation for the Smart family. This is our 7th summer in The Irish Gamble and it never dissapoints! This year the weather was amazing, the food was wonderful, and the love and fellowship we shared was, as always priceless! Our highlight of this trip was the engagment of Will and Morgan (7-24). It  was a beautiful sight! As always, thank you for sharing your beach house with us.

My family of 5 has vactioned in Ocean Isle when I was a little girl. Now, our original 5 has grown to 17! This is the 1st year in a long time we all had the opportunity to vacation together again….And what a great time we had! Thank you so much for  sharing your beautiful beach home with us. From the moment we walked in the door to find the sweet treats you left and then looked up to a breathtaking view, on vacation was priceless! Can’t wait til next year.
