East First Street 284 - Buck's Anchor

This is a perfect house to stay in during our 3 week vacation at OIB - I could make it another 3 weeks! The first week we have two couples join us and the second week our daughter, her husband and 2 teens joined us. We had the las week to ourselves. The accomodations were excellent! It is well appointed and has been upreview_dated in minor ways almost every year. This year it was the new boardwalk and railings and new railings on the porch and porch deck. The larger bench on the boardwalk and the reinforced bench on the front porch was a treat. Very nice. The new clothesline was a very good change. The new Keurig was nice but we brought our own percolators. A gargae disposal would be helpful, but it is probably a OIB sewage issue. This is a minor issue but the ever-present sand seems to overwhelm the landing of the back steps up to the deck and underneath the house on the east side (next to The Stick) and on the beach side. Barriers to minimize the creep would be appreciated. We love the sand, but we really have to brush our shoes and feet to minimize the amount of sand we track into the house when coming up the back stairs. Also, when coming up from the beach, larger tub to rinse our feet would be better than that little white tub. The beach itself seemed to have been refurbished and it was very enjoyable. If the owners ever wish to sell this property, please let me know. Thanks!
