There are only a few weeks till the 4th of July, and here on Ocean Isle Beach we are getting ready for another incredible Independence Day Celebration loaded with family-friendly activities, events, and, of course, you guessed it, fireworks. Choosing to vacation on Ocean Isle Beach allows you not only to explore our beautiful island but also explore the entire region and its events. So let’s get started with some great things to do this 4th of July in our area.

Start at the Old Bridge

Starting July 3 at 6 p.m. head over to Sunset Beach and the Old Bridge. Here the Old Bridge Preservation Society is having kids’ games, live music, and all sorts of family-friendly activities.

Head back to the bridge on July 4th at 9 a.m. for a local tradition…a parade! Bring your bike, wagons, and stroller for a patriotic march over the Old Bridge to the sounds of patriot tunes. For more information click here.

Ocean Isle Beach Fireworks

This year we are excited to have another great Ocean Isle Beach fireworks show. The fireworks will take place on July 3 at around 9 p.m.. Make sure to bring a chair. The fireworks can be easily seen from the beach, the road or the pier. The show will last approximately twenty minutes so it is perfect for the little ones.

Join the Ocean Isle Beach parade

Everybody loves a parade, and here on Ocean Isle Beach our 4th of July parade is one the whole family can enjoy. Taking place on July 4th at 10 a.m. you’ll love the patriotic decorations, fun golf carts, and floats as one of our most endearing traditions on Ocean Isle Beach continues.

Southport 4th of July Festival

Just around the corner from Ocean Isle Beach is the small town of Southport, NC. Southport is home to one of the largest Independence Day celebrations in the state. Take advantage of staying in Ocean Isle Beach while exploring Southport. The massive 4th of July celebration goes all day long. Go to a free concert

Maybe the crowds are not your cup of tea, and really you just want a nice evening with friends jamming to some toe-tapping music. If that is what you’re looking for, then you need to head over to the Sunset Beach Summer Concert series on July 4th to hear the Blue Pickup Band featuring oldies and country. Fun for the whole family, this event kicks off at 7 p.m. and continues to 9 p.m. . Make sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket. The concert takes place at The Village at Sunset on the corner of Park Rd, and Sunset Blvd. All shows are free!
